8th May 2008 wk34 The Hollybush win 6-3 to make sure of top spot and are this year's champions! They only joined the league this year The White Lion have been following them all the way and secured second with a 7-2 win The Cattle Market and BHG Club had the big wins this week at 8-1 apiece. 1st May 2008 wk33 Hollybush and White Lion win 6-3 so Hollybush stay 5 points ahead. It's very close for third place after the Dyer's A lose 6-3 6-3 is the top score this week 24th Apr 2008 wk 32 Hollybush win 6-3 while the White Lion win by their usual 5-4 so Hollybush increase their lead. Dyer's A lose 5-4 but won their game in hand in the week so move up to third. Black Lion and Mill St A are equal forth. All the top teams win so only the odd point lost or gained this week Mill St A have a game in hand 28th Feb 2008 wk24 Dyer's A beat their B team for a change and the Hollybush slip again so we have a clear leader for the first time for months. Sealion and Mill St A have to postpone their match due to the demise of the Sealion pub Black Lion and the Cattle Market are the big winners this week at 8-1 21st Feb 2008 wk23 The Dyer's A team might have thought they had pulled away with a 7-2 win over the Red Lion but the Hollybush go one better beating the Valiant 8-1 The Black Lion did the White Lion a favour by beating Mill St A 6-3 and they jump back to third with a 5-4 win against the Sea Lion The Rock get their second 7-2 win in a row. 14th Feb 2008 wk22 It continues to be a nail biter! Dyer's A go 4 points clear with a win over the Sealion Mill St A beat the Hollybush and return to third place as the White Lion's winning spree comes to an end. 8th Feb 2008 wk 21 It's really exciting!! Dyer's A share the lead again with the Hollybush The White Lion move up to third by beating leaders the Hollybush 5-4. Mill St A slip to forth after loosing 6-3 to B H Tav B The Valiant are still trailing but get their 5th win and are stringing some good results together 2nd Feb 2008 wk 20 Hollybush beat the Dyer's 5-4 and establish a 4 point lead Mill St A win 7-2 and pull away from the White Lion The Red Lion's points have been understated by 10 so they move up the table to their rightful place In the singles and doubles competition both leaders lose so th lead is now shared. 25th Jan 2008 wk19 By winning 6-3 versus the Dyer's A's 5-4 the Hollybush go top The White Lion continue their winning run to stay with Mill St A who returned to wining form The Black Lion had this week's big score with an 8-1 against the Rock Melvin is looking in the rules to see if he can make the match void(only joking) 21st Jan 2008 wk18 Dyer's A and Hollybush are neck and neck after the Dyer's only narrowly beat the fast improving Valiant 5-4 and the Hollybush beat the Rock 6-3 The White Lion are storming up the league and beat Mill St A 7-2 to share third spot with them. Black, White and Sea Lion all win 7-2, but the Red Lion miss out 4-5 again.
10th Jan 2008 wk17 We are at the halfway point this week. Starting next week we go through the programme again only reversing the venue Both Dyer's A and B beat Mill St A and B Hollybush have a good win over the Fountain to bring them up to second only one point behind the Dyer's A The Valiant win again 3rd Jan 2008 wk16 Mill St A won 6-3 at the Cattle Market so leap frog the Dyer's A who lost 4-5 to the White Lion Hollybush stay third and close up a bit with a 7-2 win at the Brit The White Lion are having a good spell and consolidate their forth place 20th Dec 2007 wk15 Dyer's A and Mill St A both win 6-3 so Dyer's stay top Hollybush loose a little more ground Fountain have the big win, 8-1 over the Valiant 13th Dec 2007 wk14 Dyer's A big win means they overtake Mill St A The Valiant get a win! 15th Nov 2007 wk10 It is with deep regret that I have to report that our colleague Keith Tatton die suddenly on Monday aged 63. Keith played for the Valiant. 14th Oct 2007 wk 5 Dyer's 'A' win 6-3 three to go back to top Leaders Mill St 'A' are beaten by second placed Hollybush Fountain and Balle Haye Tav 'B' have the biggest wins at 7-2 Benks/BHT 'A' game was postponed 7th Oct 2007 wk4 Dyer's 'A' go down 7-2 to the Black Lion and loose first spot to Mill St 'A' There were two 8-1 scores this week in fact it was quite a topsy turvy week Don't
forget meeting Tuesday 9th Oct 27th Sept 2007 wk3 Dyer's 'A' are 4 points clear at the top Mill St 'A' are second and only the top two teams have a 100% recond. Holly Bush are third with the Dyer's 'B' 20th Sept 2007 wk 2 The Dyer's A score heavily again this week and go top with Dyer's B and new boys the Hollbush in joint second. The Rock and Black Lion did not play as they had rearranged this fixture to 6th Sept.
13th Sept 2007 wk 1 All teams have played the first fixture New boys the Hollybush start well, upsetting Melvin with a 7-2 win over the Rock Inn 2nd September 2007 A meeting was held on 23rd August where the participates for the 2007/8 season were confirmed. New entries are 'Benks' and the 'Holly Bush' Brown Edge. The 'Fountain' now hosts the team which last year were at the Central Club. With 18 teams it was decided at the AGM in July that we would run with one league as last year. We would have needed 19 teams to run two teams. The fixture list was released on the 30th August at a pre season warm up event at the Mill st club and is now posted on the web site. 15th July 2007 We are actively looking for new teams to enter the league. It's like the Premiership at the moment with rumours abounding. Looks like the Central Club Team will move to the Fountain. The Royal Oak at Rushton is keen to join. Also we could see the Hare and Gate, Priory and Benks. 31st May 2007 The Merits are now complete to the Quarter final stage. Today at Mill st Club the semis and finals of the doubles and singles will be fought out. Don't forget presentation night at Mill st Club next Thursday 7th June. There will be a dominos knock out competition also. 17th May 2007 wk 34 Paul Simcock is singles champ but there is a 5 way tie for runner up. A Miller/C Bowyer and J Salt/D Barks tie the Doubles and need a play off to decide the winner The fight of the lions for the Team Doubles Cup saw the Black 'un beating the Red 'un 6-3. 13th May2007 wk 34
Central win by 24 points a substantial margin by any measure. Mill St A are third. The Red Lion have the weeks best win beating Britannia 8-1 BHC Club and Valiant postponed their final game but this will not affect any results.
